Fårbo Mekaniska, one of Swedens most rapidly growing machineshops - runs GibbsCAM.
Fårbo Mekaniska is a modern machineshop in the heart of Bergslagen. In their 3500-square-meter production facility machines run and employees work around the clock. Team spirit is one of the companys greatest strengths, everyone knows what is required and everyone works towards the same goal.
A constant desire to develop...
Fårbo Mechanical does very well, no doubt about that. But the fantastic growth result they have shown, was still somewhat unexpected. Since current owner Roger Berggren took over the company in 2005, sales have increased by an incredible 1 150 percent and the number of employees has gone from 4 to 34. Those who have met Roger Berggren knows he possesses and shares a incredible drive. A drive that is well managed within the company. But what else lies behind the company's amazing success?
"The desire to continously develop and grow both our production and staff skills, is a great foundation for constantly pushing our company forward," says Roger.
At Fårbo Mekaniska all machinists are independent and work with many tasks including CNC programming and daily maintenance of the machines. For CNC programming Fårbo uses both GibbsCAM and RopeCAM from Fructus Data.

Roger says that the good cooperation with Fructus Data is very important for the company. To comply with customer requirements, Fårbo's annual investments in machinery and production development is approximately 7 million SEK. One example of a production development investment is CADCAM training. To be able to get a training session quickly, can be crucial when you find a skills gap among employees. Partnering with Fructus Data broadens the staffs knowledge and allows us to start up new projects faster at the workshop.
Fårbo Mekaniska has found a recipe for success that they will continue to develop.
